Briggs Center for Faith & Action

THE CARPENTER’S HOUSE

The Carpenter’s House, Briggs Center’s headquarters, is a place of hospitality, education and spiritual reflection. The house welcomes visiting national and international youth groups, scholars, clergy, and others in the city for events consistent with our mission. As part of the Briggs Center’s cluster of relationships, service agencies regularly make use of the house, and the house offers hospitality to a weekly meditation group. Spiritual direction and counseling were formerly led by Rev. Yonce Shelton.

The Westmoreland Children’s
Center administrative office is also located at the Carpenter's House, as is a new memorial garden.
