IMMIGRATION AND HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE
Since 2009, we have partnered with a United Church of Christ congregation on the Arizona/Mexico border as part of a broad Southwest coalition dedicated to change and justice in the Nation’s immigration policies. The Briggs Center cooperates with organizations actively involved in offering first aid, food and water to migrants lost or injured in the Sonoran Desert.
We are developing a relationship with Justo Cafe in Mexico, an emerging coffee company that produces quality, locally grown coffee thus enabling families to make a good living and remain together in their own country.
We also cooperate locally with Outreach Ministries and the Volunteer Corps of Westmoreland Church, Bethesda Cares, Interfaith Works and Bread for the City. Internationally, we work with Hope for Burundi, Global Ministries of the UCC, and Thrive in Helena, AR.
